Yesterday's was given to me by Stu.
"Alberto Gonzales resigned to spend more time spying on his family." Today's (though it's still morning) comes from Michael Chabon. I've just begun THE YIDDISH POLICEMEN'S UNION which I'm pretty sure I'm going to like immensely (I'm at page 15 and have already punch a virtual fist in the air at something he wrote).(Oh please, I SO want a book I can really really get into right now. And really like.) I thought KAVALIER & CLAY an amazing work - other stuff less so. But we - Stu especially - have been waiting for this one since well, for a while. (years, okay?) So from THE YIDDISH POLICEMEN'S UNION: "Even the most casual study of the record, Landsman thinks, would show that strange times to be a Jew have almost always been, as well, strange times to be a chicken."
