This being a very confused day in my life. I got to spend several hours today with my best friend who I love very much and then found out, upon getting home that our very good mutual friend had experienced a horrible loss.

Cornelia, I love you and I'm so glad I saw you today. Louise, I'm so so so so sorry about Bruce. There are never any good words out of me when someone dies - I'm just always so befuddled hoping to find something comforting to say and I never know what that might be.

Anyway, i don't know what else to say but this. Louise Ure's husband Bruce, who'd been dealing with a rather virulent and unresponsive cancer, died yesterday morning. She is bereft and lost although it was not exactly a surprise. My heart hurts for her.
