Yesterday, November 26, was the day we lost you. I lost you. It's the only euphemism I use when talking about your death. I don't feel that any other words express the reality of your life, your gifts, your love what you left behind. I am still bereft. Beyond belief.

So i want to take this time to thank you, again. Again and again. I was just in the "office/library/second bedroom" and picked up a drawing that was sitting just inside a little basket. I thought it might be a Sherlock Hoka (I think they are around here) but in fact it was a 1994 most elegant, most wonderful drawing of a Sherlock Hamster. And I giggled. And giggled.

Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for the sillies that made me giggle, for sharing your talent, your wonderful sense of wit and humor. That I can laugh today is amazing. Why is not surprising. You forever brought laughter into our lives. I just would not have expected to find a giggle bubbling up at the image of this fine creature. Thank you. I love you. I know you're not there, but I've spent the last year talking to you and I'm not about to stop now.
