...you were part of a one sided conversation, like you couldn't get a word in edgewise? I kind of did this weekend.

We went and saw a friend perform stand up comedy. Occasionally she'd make a joke and get very little response from the crowd or even groans. One specific time I myself groaned. It wasn't a bad joke, my thought was simply, "but they were MY people." I wanted to say that, but then I paused and realized that I wasn't having a conversation with her and that if I did speak up I would have been a heckler. I didn't want to heckle my friend. It was an odd experience because we usually have conversations and discussions where we can both explain ourselves, but not this time.

It was cool anyway. And a night out, rare as it is, is always nice.
