I joined a group of bloggers one of whom I've been blogging with (can you do that?) for a while. Her daughter and LB are one day apart. But anyway, we did a bookmark swap. Each of us sent out a bookmark to two different people.

Today my first bookmark arrived in the mail.

It's a yellow woven one (cloth/fabric-I'm not sure what to call that) with orange, burgundy, and blue stripes down the middle. And it's got butterflies embroidered on it.

I didn't even manage to get the envelope into the house without opening it after I got it out of the mailbox today. I did get the car into the garage, then I opened it. LB was sitting in the back seat and immediately said, "I want to see it." Being the good mom, I handed it back to him and he inspected it, and I explained what it was to him. I doubt he completely understands as none of his books is long enough to need a bookmark. But anyway, he did eventually give it back to me. So now I have a cool new bookmark to use-mine keep disappearing into the ether, this one's bright yellow, maybe it'll stay around a bit longer.

I'll upload some pics later, like when I've taken them.
Right now I stuck it on the scanner. I wonder what the scanner will do with it... It seems to have done OK.

I'm very much looking forward to my second bookmark. I imagine I'll post about it when it arrives-hopefully tomorrow.
