And now, two weeks in a row from the RevGalBlogPals. What will I do next?!?

1) Would you rather be the host or the guest?

I do like to be both, but I seem to have an affinity for hosting. See my previous blog entry about weddings.

2) When you are hosting, do you clean everything up the minute the guests go home? Will you accept help with the dishes?

I like to have things mostly put back together before I go to bed, I had to get up to a disaster. Usually I'm happy to have help cleaning dishes, that help often times is in the form of company in the kitchen while I was, which really is just fine. I hate that feeling that I need to be doing dishes but would like to hang out and chat with people-so doing both is a win-win.

3) If you had the wherewithal, and I guess I mean more than money, to throw a great theme party, what would the theme be?

Honestly, NO CLUE. I've been threatening a muppets game/party for a while now, would be fun and full of silly gags, that would last all of 10 minutes, but it would probably be fun. Plus, I do own the cookie monster costume.

4) What's the worst time you ever had at a party?

I can't really remember a horrible time I've had at a party. Usually if I'm not enjoying myself, I go find someone with whom I'd like to chat and try to enjoy myself. Probably the closest I came was at a wedding. This was the first wedding after our own wedding (at which I had a BLAST) and only a few months later. I helped prepare for the wedding and Phil was in the wedding party, and I had no role other than to assist where asked. After being THE center of attention at our wedding it was a bit of a let down to be mostly uninvolved in this wedding. I'm not unhappy that we went and probably didn't seem outwardly grumpy about it, but inside I didn't have as much fun as I should/could have had.

5) And to end on a brighter note, what was the best?

This is another tough one, as I generally have a good time at the parties I attend. Does my own wedding count? I had one hell of a lot of fun there, seeing lots of people who I liked and had fun hanging out with, and I didn't drink but the ceremonial sips so remembered everything and didn't hang over the next day either.

Sheesh, this was supposed to be about birthdays and parties, and somehow I turned it into weddings and parties, sorry about the hijacked Friday Five people. :)
