I ALWAYS think that finals week is going to be a breeze.

After all, I only have to sit there and proctor the final exams and then grade them, how difficult can that be. Plus, the day ends at 12:30, and then the kids leave and I have all this time to work. Every stinking semester it's the same thing. 3:00 rolls around and I'm still trying to get everything done. Grading, grades, clean-up, you name it.

Of course this spring I have the added challenge of having to clean out my classroom since I'm moving to a different school in the fall. OY!!

Finals start on Tuesday. Right now grades are updated; all papers are graded and passed back; final exams are written, xeroxed, mostly answer keyed; and the students are deep into review.

It SHOULD be easy from here on out, but I can't help believe that it won't be, it'll be hectic, chaotic, busy, and crazy-making.

Add to that the stuff going on outside of school, which will be fun and happy making, but also busy making, and I'm gearing up.

Then, in just a bit more than a week, it'll all be over (I hope).
