Here I am in Colorado. Fort Collins to be exact, staying at Colorado State University.

I'm working, but this is some of the best work (for the short term). I'm here surrounded by 128 other Physics geeks and we're all reading (scoring) AP Physics exams. I'm on one particular question and am enjoying it so far. The others on this question seem nice and my table leaders are also great.

The meal times and other recreational times are fun. Just hanging out with all these other Physics teachers and being a geek. :)

Our dorm is pretty far from the meal facilities and also a decent walk from the Student Center, where we're doing all of our grading. This, of course, means that I'm at least getting some exercise. This is a good thing, although I could probably use more exercise right now.

Yesterday when I arrived in Denver it was about 90 degrees. Today, when we walked to lunch is was 59 degrees. It was great today-it rained on and off all day, and I got rained on, but it's dry enough here that I dried off pretty quickly too.

And really, rain is good. I have no rain gear with me, so I got wet, no biggie.

The one big downside is that the college puts so much restriction on the internet access here that I have very little that I can do that I really wanted to do. This includes not being able to use the webcam do videoconference to see the little one. It's really quite frustrating. :( I think we'll all survive, but I'm NOT happy about it.

I've also gotten to see a bunch of the people that I haven't seen for quite some time, not since I last read in 2001, so it's been a fun homecoming that way too.

Tonight-I need to get to bed at a reasonable hour so I can get enough sleep. Last night I got to bed a bit late and then when I got up this morning, I realized that I had set my alarm for 6 pm instead of 6 am, oh well.

Anyway, I think that covers it from this end. I hope everyone's well at the other end of this entry.
