If I R a riter, as I say, then why the hell don't I seem to be doing any writing? Mondays and Wednesdays are chauffeur the kids around day--track in the morning--and the call came in today that the filter valve for the pool came in, so before the cement pond (actually it's an aluminum above-ground) turns into an algae swamp, I ran out to the pool place to pick it up, grabbed lunch on the way back, and overall feel as if I've wasted my entire day.

I have, however, written a feature article and turned it in, and I need to work on a second as soon as I'm done wasting time here. Which seems like an appropriate time to sign off.
