As I'm wrapping up 2005, I thought I'd take a moment to mention a few interesting things that have happened to me this year in no particular order.

--Signed a 2-book contract with Midnight Ink/Llewellyn for what will hopefully be a series of thrillers featuring Dr. Derek Stillwater, an expert in biological and chemical terrorism and warfare

--received my 3rd degree brown belt in Sanchin Ryu karate

--took a week long trip to Disney World in July (hot!) and stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort

--joined a gym and go 3 times a week religiously

--lost 17 pounds (so far!)

--Did something like 4 library talks, 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 book signings, one mystery conference and about 8 Rotary Club talks, two TV interviews and one radio interview to promote my books, especially Dirty Deeds

--hit the minimum financial goal I had set and surpassed it

--brought on at least 6 new clients and more like 10 that aren't one-shots, but people I hope to write for a very a long time

--started a blog (no kidding? Where?)

--read and reviewed a lot of really good books

--had a whole lot of fun living and working as a full-time writer, editor and novelist

Blessings to you all.

Best,
Mark Terry
