I'm a member of International Thriller Writers, Inc., and they are publishing, via MIRA, their first short story anthology, titled THRILLER, with 32 authors of the membership. It's edited by James Patterson and some of those authors are: David Morrell, JA Konrath, Lee Child, Gayle Lynds, Lincoln Child, Douglas Preston, James Rollins, Heather Graham, and on and on.

I reviewed this collection for The Oakland Press. It's fabulous, and I'm not just saying that. I'm not a huge fan of short stories. I don't know why. I always get impatient and want the novel, maybe. I subscribed to Ellery Queen for two years and ended up with 15 or 16 unread issues.

But...

I really liked the stories in this book. The standouts for me were "Kowalski's in Love" by James Rollins and "Assassins" by Christopher Reich.

Aside from asking all members of ITW to mention it on their blog (ahem), ITW has created a special page for the book which is:

http://www.thrillerbook.com

They've got a deal going with MIRA where they will post 5 of the stories on the site--in fact, I think they're going to be the audio version, so you can listen to them. So do yourself a favor, pop on over to the site and listen to a good story.

And frankly, it's a pretty good financial deal, as well. The hardcover price is $24.95, I believe, and it's about 575 pages long. Oy vey, vhat a deal!

Best,
Mark Terry
