I hate meetings. Luckily, in my last job, I rarely had to go to any, which is good, I was crabby enough as it is.

At this yearly meeting I'm at, we typically had 4 hours of straight meetings on the first day and 8 hours straight the next. This year, because we've been efficient, we scrapped Tuesday's meetings entirely and decided to try cramming everything in on Wednesday.

Damn! It's a miracle. We're about 3 hours ahead of schedule, looking to be done about 2:00 or so.

I've always been impressed by Jeffrey Katzenberg, who used to run Disney Studios, but now runs DreamWorks, I believe. And he was known to never let meetings run past about 45 minutes, because he set an agenda and didn't allow anybody to wander off it.

So, we're kickin' ass today.

Best,
Mark Terry
