I got home from work today to a priorty mail package from a gaming company in Texas. It surprised me, since I hadn't ordered anything from them as a Christmas gift or personal indulgence.

What suprised me even more was a copy of their semi-regular publication along with a check. It seems that a short story I wrote almost exactly two years ago finally made it to print. Not only that, but it recieved the honor of cover story.

Wow.

I'd completely forgotten that they had liked the story, edited it, and then fingered it for publication. What a great pick-me-up for the day and a great way to end the week!

Now, on to rewrite my pilot for Trilogy...
