Dramas, thrillers and action-adventure

Mood:
Do I feel lucky?

I dropped off a new script to my agent today, one that's more mainstream and more updated than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I wrote a spec Crossing Jordan for her to shop around. We'll see how that one goes.

In talking with JoAnn, she asked me if I had any other pilot ideas other than my fantasy and science fiction idea. Apparently, it's time to shop things around, and they're ("they" being the powers that be) looking for dramas, thrillers and action-adventures that are more contemporary. They're looking for a pilot and description of 4-6 episodes, or even just a premise. JoAnn said to let her know if I have anything, and she would need it by late August at the outside.

So, I guess I'll go through my old ideas, stories and notes and see what I have that I may have forgotten about. I ususally write genre-based stories (falling in the sci-fi/fantasy or historical genres), but I may rediscover a more contemporary idea that I've worked on. I love action-adventure, so even if I haven't, I'll think about ideas. Is it even possible to come up with a new idea at this point in TV history? Hmm.
