Hoping to get in touch with real people, I took a later lunch so I could make calls for Fork-Tailed Devil. It turns out that a ton of people are in Cannes this week, so I had to leave messages anyway. Bummer. Specifically, I called Castle Rock, Beacon Pictures, Donners Company (who passed -- they don't do period pieces), Trilogy and Imagine. I'll give Village Roadshow a call tomorrow.

John has already made phone calls on my behalf as promised. Now, I just have to wait...

One thing about these calls is they're easier to make since I have such strong endorsements, and since I've already established connections with the above companies (however tenuous).
