I am attending an Oscar party tonight, sponsored by the Princeton Club of Southern California. This event was opened to their Ivy League counterparts, so I decided to attend. There's appetizers, buffet dinner, and additional "surprises."

I'm just hoping that I'll meet some people there who are fun to hang with. I've also got a tiny wish that the Battlestar Galactica producer would be there as well.

This will mark my first Oscar party in Hollywood. I'm going by myself, to meet people and have a good time. I am definitely moving outside of my comfort zone with this foray, but that's not a bad thing. (Just a challenging thing.)

It should be interesting.
