Jo-Ann called me to say that she finally got a call back from Lightstorm, where I sent Mind Games ages ago. Of the scripts he read, mine was apparently one of the best-written of the bunch. Mind Games doesn't fit with Lightstorm's preferences of scifi -- they're looking for big effects, big budget movies.

But, Jo-Ann and the fellow at Lightstorm had a spectacular conversation and they're going to get together for lunch in April, and may talk about assignment opportunities for me (where I write or rewrite one of their ideas). Jo-Ann's also going to try and set up a meet-and-greet with him and me.

Also fortunately, I've been working on a big-budget sci-fi story (SPACETIME, INC). He'll definitely read more of my writing. I'm going to go back to the first synopsis I wrote before I started my Spacetime script, and see if it's at all tantalizing. Jo-Ann said that if I have a synopsis -- even without the completed script -- he'll take a look at it. I have until Sunday afternoon to work on it, so we'll see what happens. I've been sparing with my effects, trying to keep the budget on the lower side, so it will be very interesting to pretend I have a $100 million budget for my story. I wonder what will happen..
