So, through Jennise, we got our original sample script (Main Street, USA) to an executive at CBS. He's already read it (we expected it to be a month of silence), which was cool of itself. He liked the writing, the characters, but the subject material just didn't do too much for him. Still, it was a good read. Not everyone will love everything, so the three of us aren't too worried about that.

JoAnn wants us to get our Without A Trace over to him, once we've worked on a couple of tweaks that she suggested. No problemo!

The other good bit of news is that one of the folks that JoAnn has a relationship with has been promoted to a Director of Drama Development level at a studio. So she's asked us to put together a pilot presentation for Main Street (as a series, not just a writing sample), so that she can send it over to him. That's very cool. That's why I wanted an agent. Someone with relationships.
