Been enjoying Marcel's break between semesters with blading, hiking and yoga. Those study-snack-imposed pounds slowly are dissolving nicely just in time for upcoming wedding.

Marcel is also using this intercession to pick up the paint brush adding further fuel to my work at the laptop. There's something romantic about mutual creativity--even though we are busy on our separate islands of creativity, at least we're in shouting distance. He's working on Auriel, the arch-angel of Earth while I'm busy with the vampire stuff. I'm deliriously happy he's getting back into it. I LOVE his work, sort of Mucha meets Sandman. We've toyed with the ides of collaborating on a graphic novels...

Meanwhile, we had to fork over $100 to get a piece of paper from the government allowing us to marry. We purchased it from a notary located in "The Guiness Book of World Record's Most Narrow Office Building" in Chinatown. We filled out the form while standing on the sidewalk in front of the service window. Marcel had to raise his hand and say "yes" to what we half-heard the lady inside read through the window's faulty intercom. But we got the license and stepped aside quickly to let the guy in line behind us get his temporary auto insurance.
