Vancouver is getting dumped on... I've never seen weather forecasters so sure of themselves: 100% chance of snow for tomorrow and the next day. Vancouver gets this about once every other year, so the reaction is pretty much like it is in Southern California to thunder storms. Marcel's school's been closed and my students cancelled. We spent the day frolicking.

It's great how snow makes going to the store for soy milk an event. First order of business: plunking right down in the pristine blanket and mussing it up. I made a row of snow blobs that were meant to be angels in our parking lot. By the time Marcel and I skid-walked our ways to IGA I was covered from head to toe. Marcel has the perfect snow-catching eyelashes. For Christmas, we amassed no less than FOUR Starbucks coffee cards, so we splurged on venti soy chais (one each--unheard of!). Just enough time to thaw and we were back out in the winter wonderland. I just hope it doesn't decide to go frigid rain before the end of this storm (as is want to happen in Vancouver). This is the BEST.

It's good to be home.
