1. Do you find your MFA in any way useful to your actual writing?

2. What was the primary thing about Marcel that first attracted you to him?

3. Did you ever submit the clubbing/Death story anywhere? (Geez, sounds like you're writing about baby seals.)

4. Which are the next three countries you'd most like to visit, and why?

5. Do you know if it's still possible to get a copy of the video of you on stage with Duran Duran? I think you said it was a European release.

1. Yes, it gave me a real deadline. I had to write a complete anthology by graduation. The classes themselves? Yeah, sure: it included a lot of theory which helped me get editing jobs up here.

2. Besides those bedroom eyes? (I'm not even sure what bedroom eyes are--but I'm sure M's exemplify them.) His commitment--to friends, to family, to whatever he cares about, he puts all of his attention and energy into it. He's an extremist. He doesn't do anything half-heartedly. There's something SO sexy about devotion.

3. I just sent that out the other day for the first time. At 18500 words, there isn't a wide audience for it. Besides, um, genre? Gothic comedy? Market shrinks down again, but we'll see...
Shawn and yourself are still being despicably cute on the dancefloor there.

4. India/Nepal. The yoga thing has enflamed old dreams of trekking through that subcontinent. I'm saving pennies to eventually go for an instructor's license and I'd like to have a few months practicing in the source-country. (For practical reasons, that would mean that the first foreign destination would have to be back to Japan to build up funds.)
Then, somewhere in Europe (since I haven't been there). I'd couldn't restrict my trip to one country, but I would probably start in Greece for the ruins and the crystal blue waters.

5. The DD vid? My 15 minutes of fame? Maybe ebay. Sheesh, it's probably only found on beta-max tapes.

Thanks Rach!
