Vancouver is experiencing an early breath of summer. Of course in Vancouver terms that means 75 degrees (F)--warm enough to join the rest of the naked hippies on Wreck Beach. Marcel's on vacation and I've been able to schedule my students around the prime sun times. We spent the last week paying homage to the skin cancer god on one of the most glorious stretches of coastline. It's shielded from civilization by a wooded cliff (access being down 398 stairs)--thus society is protected from the heinous displays of nudity and we're sheltered within an edenic nook with nothing but sun, sand, sea and mountains.

We had to blade because M left his keys including the bike-lock keys at B&C's place (B&C have become our unofficial lost & found site out in PoCo). It's about a 10-mile blade each way, up a monster of a hill. The water's still polar-bear cold, but we braved the ice bergs.

Ahhhh, vitamin D at last.
