The ground work has been laid after my last post from people who I don't even know.

There will be something. there will be a concert. A show, an event. People will come. They will give, enjoy and give some more.

There's an ass ton of logistical details to nail down. But I'm thoroughly hearted by the small handful of people who want to make this work.

I'm scared but I'm so glad I'm not resigned to feeling insiginificant in the face of all the sorrow and loss and desperation.

Between you and me I wish the President had implored companies nationwide to allow workers a couple of days off - paid or not - to vollunteer in some way to the relief effort. Can you imagine if the entire population of the US that has wheels descended on the Gulf Coast and started driving people out? I mean with the buses finally in there and with the $6 gas it's probably just as well that we're not doing that but people are aching to help but we're all told all we can do is give money. We don't all have money to give. I can spare some but it doesn't feel like enough. I have friends who are students or have families and just can't spare so much as $50.

So I want to put on a show. I will put on a show. I just need a venue. I have some of the equipment. I need help from people to man the event. The talent is lining up to help. God bless the artists. }:>

I expect it's going to get much harder. I'm looking forward to it.
