1. My mixed-up, often dysfunctional, but ultimately loving family, many of whom will gather next week in Hometown.
2. A congregation that lets me be human and also their pastor, not seeing the two as mutually exclusive.
3. A brotherhood of friends, crushes & colleagues in the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus.
4. An administrative assistant/friend/second mother who makes my life easier simply by existing.
5. Colleagues in ministry who don't see me as an issue, or a problem to be solved, or someone to hide, but simply as a colleague.
