I love my job.
How many people can honestly say that?

Ill say it again...
I love my job.

For those of you who don�t know.. I work as an Art Director at the local WB and UPN TV stations here. I take care of all the stations print work, which includes TV guide ads, newspaper ads, and the occasional billboard. I also get to do the occasional on-air graphic and animation, and they even put me in charge of the website (a website with little to no content. Don�t even get me started�)

Then there is the miscellaneous things that I do here.. Converting commercial production spots for the web or CD or DVD, creating logos, fixing other peoples logos, producing radio spots for the radio stations during sweeps, and the list goes on and on�

What this means, Is I work with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Soundforge, Vegas, Premiere, After Effects, Digital Fusion, and my favorite.. Lightwave 3D. (in an ultimate world, I would be a special effects 3D company of my own. If I only had the skills�) When it gets slow, I �play� with these programs to see if I can learn something new. (currently trying to figure out what the hell I�m doing with this self imposed flash project of mine..)

I enjoy that. I get to screw around with stuff I would be doing at home for fun.

Not to mention, I can happily say that the majority of the people I work with I call friends. Actually, I cant think of someone working here I dislike.. It didn�t used to be this way, Some people that used to work here. I called lots of things, and friend was not in that list of words.. But those people are gone now. (assholes�)

Oh.. cant forget the TV. Every office here.. has a TV. And that�s nice for the days that the Sci-Fi channel does 5 full hours of the original series Star Trek�

And last but not least.. For some unknown reason, the majority of the sales staff is composed of above average looking young ladies right out of one of the couple all girls colleges around here..

Can�t beat that with a stick!
