Or, actually, it's not really fire season yet, which is why we didn't have the huge water carriers to dump the lake on the fire.

Anyway, other than air quality, yes, we're fine. I wasn't terribly worried, especially since I ran into a former firefighter friend who'd talked to a couple of people on the current crews who said that the blaze was following the canyon and parallelling us rather than headed for Big Bear itself.

The light is pretty weird, though. It's been going from a pale yellow to a deep orange, depending on which way the wind has been going, making it seem like all our windows are full of stained glass.

Thank goodness for air filters.
