So President Bush decided to veto a stem cell research bill because it asked taxpayers "to fund the deliberate destruction of human embryos."

I can understand that the taxpayer funding is a significant issue. However, if the "deliberate destruction of human embryos" is such a criminal sin, why aren't fertility clinics being targeted? After all, they produce whole bunches of fertilized embryos, most of which will never become fully-fledged human beings, and many of which will be destroyed.

Just a thought.
