Every once in a while, I catch a glimpse into how Hunter's mind processes things, and I find it fascinating.

On the way to school the other day, he kept telling me that he didn't want to go now, he wanted to go "in the daytime."

I pointed out that it was the daytime -- the sun was shining, and it was during the day.

I finally remembered that there had been a few times that he'd been so excited about something that had been planned for the next day that he didn't want to go to sleep and kept asking to get up so we could do the fun stuff. I told him that no, he had to go to sleep and we would do the fun stuff "in the daytime."

He thought that "in the daytime" meant "tomorrow."

I love these little flashes where I can actually see the gears turning. It is so cool.
