... into the mind of Hunter Heslin.

Shawn's attending summer school at a university down the hill. Between the pile of homework, the length of commute, and the price of gas, we decided it made sense for him to get a room in the dorms.

Yesterday, Hunter and I drove down to visit him. When we got there, Hunter started inspecting Shawn's dorm room. Finally, he asked, "Where are the toys?"

Shawn explained that there are no toys and that Hunter would have to bring his own. Hunter looked confused.

Something clicked in my head, and I understood.

Hunter has been told that Daddy is going to school. This room must therefore be Daddy's school.

And, as Hunter knows from his own experience, the best part of "school" is playing with all the toys.

Next, he'll want to visit the slides in the playground of Daddy's school....
