I remember, back in high school, I'd occasionally come across a used textbook in which someone had written instructions in the margins like, "Go to page 237," and when you'd flip to 237, the margin of that page would have, "Go to page 48," and that page would direct you to another one, and so on and so forth. I don't even remember if there were any payoff when you got to the final one, maybe a clever saying or something.

So what, you may ask, reminded me of this exercise in flippering?

It's that time of year again.
