Yesterday, Hunter decided he wanted to be a cowboy. He had his miniature rocking horse (one of his first Christmas presents), Daddy's hat, a lasso I'd put together for him, and a cat scratching post as a cactus.

This morning, he decided he wanted to be Baby Jaguar. He put on his slightly-too-small spotted cat costume and demanded MEAT! for breakfast (rolls of lunch meat and chicken liver.) After a while, he pulled out his accoutrements from last night and announced that, once again, he was a cowboy.

"Are you a kitty cowboy?" I asked, since he was still wearing his other costume.

"No, just a cowboy."

He then proceeded to ride his horse in the kitchen, lasso around the cat scratching post, singing, "I've got a cactus! I've got a cactus!"

After a while, he looked down at himself and said, bemusedly, "Just one very good question. Why do I have a tail?"
