Dan Simmons' ILIUM

I'm not going to "review" this read, but just wanted to make a quick post saying that Simmons has to be one of the most imaginative/creative writers working in the SF field today.

Who else could tie together sentient machines, post-humans, Greek Gods living on Mars, and the Trojan War? Being a fan of Greek mythology and of speculative fiction, I'm really enjoying these two books. Finished ILIUM and have a LOT to go in OLYMPOS, but I can't wait to find out what's what in this story.
