I got this one from Scout's journal: I'm just following directions. But it looks sorta fun.

*******

50 ODD Things about you! If you opened this, FILL IT OUT! Learn 50 things about your friends, and let them learn 50 things about you! (...feel the love)

1. Do you like blue cheese?
Yes, but it's not my favorite...

2. Have you ever smoked heroin?
I have not. I have never even taken a Vicodin or Tylenol 3.

3. Do you own a gun?
No, unless you include the Johnny Winchester toy rifle I got as a kid...

4. Your favorite song?
It changes daily, or at least weekly. If I went to my Itunes software and played one song right this minute, it might be CLOSER TO FREE by the BoDeans, but that's probably because I've been messing around trying to learn it on guitar. Best song ever: Probably something by the Beatles - maybe Hey Jude? Let It Be? There are so many great ones...

5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?
Maybe a little. Depends on if I know I'm getting unpleasant things checked or not...

6. What do you think of hot dogs?
I could probably live on them. How long I'd live is another issue entirely...

7. Favorite Christmas song?
Probably THE CHRISTMAS SONG, the one Nat King Cole did.

8. Favorite soda?
Diet Cola. I'm not picky about the brand usually, but prefer Coca-cola and Pepsi products...

9. Can you do push ups?
Not as well anymore. Not because I can't, but because my wrists hurt when I put my full weight on them. A lot.

addendum: I did some to show my son how to lower to the floor - I did 5 without any trouble, but I am a bit sore today (Monday)...

10. What? No number ten? I'll have to check back at Scout's blog...

addendum: Nope. No number 10.

11. What's your favorite piece of jewelry?
My wedding ring. IT's the only thing I wear...

12. Favorite hobby?
tie between reading and playing around with the guitars.

13. Secret weapon to get the opposite sex in bed?
Sleep. Or did this mean something else? ;-)

14. Do you have A.D.D.?
No.

15. What one trait do you hate about yourself?
I have trouble speaking my mind.

16. Do you like celery?
Sure, why not?

17. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment?
Gotta get back to work.
Hope I get done quickly and it goes well.
I'm hungry!

18. Name 3 things you bought yesterday?
Yesterday? Not a thing. Not even lunch! (My buddy bought lunch yesterday, I bought last time...)

19. Name 3 drinks you regularly drink?
Water
Diet Cola
Iced Tea

20. Current worry right now?
Too much snow this weekend, and early next week. We need more snow like that cliche'd hole in the head...

21. Current hate right now?
Can't come up with one.

22. Favorite place to be?
Home with a good book.

23. How did you bring in the New Year?
At a hotel in Chicago, with a good view of the fireworks and the TV on. Kids were sound asleep..

24. Where would you like to go?
Disney World, Epcot Park and a nice resort.

25. Name three people who will complete this?
I have no clue.

26. Do you own slippers?
No.

27. What shirt are you wearing?
Scrub top. I'm at work.

28. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets?

29. Can you whistle?
With my lips but not with fingers.

30. Favorite Color?
blue.

31. Would you be a pirate?
Probably not...

32. What songs do you sing in the shower?
I find myself singing and humming Karn Evil Nine by Emerson Lake and Palmer often for some strange reason. There must be a mental link between that tune and my bathroom...

33. Favorite girls name?
If we had had a girl, her name would have been Sara. So - that one.

34. Favorite boy's name?
Kevin and Steven. If we had had another boy, it would have been Bryan or Brian, so...those three.

35. What's in your pocket right now?
Nothing. When I change into scrubs, I empty my pockets.

36. Last thing that made you laugh?
The dog. She was dancing when I came down from taking my shower this morning, and it struck me as funny.

37. Best bed sheets as a child?
White ones?

38. Worst injury you've ever had?
Cut my finger to the bone on a glass test tube in college, requiring stitches. The ER doctor left a piece of glass in the wound, and it worked its way out a few weeks later. Hurt like hell.

39. Do you love where you live?
Love? That's a strong word. I like it just fine.

40. How many TVs do you have in your house?
5. And we hardly watch them...

I have a lot of quiet friends...but probably my buddy Mills (real name Jim).

One. A miniature Schnauzer.

43. Does someone have a crush on you?
I seriously doubt it. I think I and the wife are past "crushes"...

Maybe THE STAND by Stephen King? That's as good a choice as any...

Payday's are pretty good. So are M&M's.

Chicago Cubs. Then probably the Bulls, followed by the Loyola Ramblers.

47. What song do you want played at your funeral?
Beethoven's Pastorale...

48. What were you doing 12 AM last night?
Sleeping.

49. What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up?
"My neck hurts." Then..."so does my head - must have been clenching my teeth last night...who's in the bed with me? Oh, morning son..."

50. What would you do for a Klondike Bar?
pay a buck or two...that's about it.

******

That was sorta fun! Respond if you'd like...or take it yourself...
