Checking my Facebook feed, I noted this article in the Chicago Sun-Times.

It seems that one of my favorite musicians in Chicago, a staple of the Chicago bar band scene, Tom "Pickles" Piekarski, has passed away. I'm a huge fan of the Bad Examples and of the defunct Mike Jordan and the Rockamatics. Pickles was the backbone bass player of both of these bands.
