PB, hold the egg and milk

Well we took a trip to the allergist today. After listening to her history and my history he decided to test her for egg yolks, egg whites, and dairy. PB was marvelously well-behaved, even during the skin-prick test. Unfortunately, she's an overachiever, and reacted to all three. In fact, the egg white was a pretty spectacular reaction, near the top of the rating scale. (Fortunately the others were merely moderate reactions. Ha. Merely.)

So no eggs for the kid. And no cow milk either. I was planning on weaning her to cow milk in her daytime bottles (and still continuing to nurse her morning and evening) when she was a year old, but now I'm going to try to continue to pump and give breast milk as long as possible. Sigh. I really am sick to fucking death of pumping. But I got the "well if you could keep breastfeeding, that really would be best" from the allergist, with the added "oh, and you'll need to drop eggs from your diet as well."

Oh well, at least it's not chocolate.
