Starbursts, weight, "mama", and my boobs again

I have two starburst-shaped burn marks on the back of my leg. I think I would have done better just taking the normal "ride" instead of the drive-stun. Sheesh.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll put it in a story at some point. Something to add to my list of "interesting experiences."

I've been doing pretty well on the whole workout/weight loss thing. The scale isn't really showing much progress, but the inches are starting to slowly slip off. My office has been moved to the other side of the lab, and I've discovered that just normal walking around the office now nets me over 5000 steps a day, and that's without the lunchtime walks. The weight workouts are also going well; I'm finally getting my strength back. I managed to bench press 105 today--a bit lame considering I used to bench 150, but it's progress.

Anna is becoming more and more of a person. Where did my baby go? She stood by herself today! Okay it was only for about four seconds, but she actually found her balance and stood! She's totally not doing any talking still though. She babbles at us in her own little language, but she doesn't even have dada and mama as even remotely distinct words. I'm trying to not be a paranoid mom, but it's tough. Of course that just ties in nicely with my stressing over breastfeeding and my milk supply that continues to steadily dry up. Bah. I'm very glad that I still have about a hundred ounces stored in the deep freeze. I think that's the only way I'm going to make it to the full year.
