New words

Jack took care of PB last night while I went down and worked at the theater. This morning he told me that he had something very important he had to tell me. I sat down on the couch next to him and he looked at me with a terribly grave expression on his face.

"Diana," he said. "Last night, before I put our darling daughter to bed, I was walking through the living room and stubbed my toe."

"Oh, how terrible, dear."

"It gets worse. I uttered an expletive. Namely the F-U-C-K word."

"Uh huh."

"And she instantly repeated it."

[snicker] "Oh, you terrible man. You will have to clean up your language!"

At which time I stood up and did the happy dance because somehow, miraculously, she learned the word from HIM and not from ME which is truly a miracle considering how often such words spew from my mouth.

But it's okay, because now it's HIS fault!!
