Storm preparations

Since I am an underpaid public servant I do not have the option to evacuate. Though, to be honest, I doubt I would anyway. We are far enough inland that we do not have to fear huge storm surges, and with a million other people evacuating with no solid plan of where to go it would be a total kluge finding a place to stay.

So, today is going to be Cleanup day. I don't have to go into work this weekend, but I go on duty in the early am on Monday. It's not supposed to make landfall until around noon so I should have time to get to the office and button down all of my computers. Our backyard is a mess. Our garage is already full. I am so not looking forward to putting everything away.

And I'm on total pins and needles hoping it doesn't screw with my plans to fly out of here on Wednesday. Sigh. What a pain in the ass.

Yes, I live in the red area.
