Mood:
Mood is long overdue, too. However, I seemed to have misplaced somewhere in the memory pile.

Long Overdue

It's been so long since I've done an entry (shame on me!) it might be best if I do a scatter-shot entry.

I could mention I had the cold/flu for about a week, but I didn't miss work. X caught the same bug right after me and she's in bed right now, thanks to the restful properties of Nightquil. I think I brought the bug home with me from the Denise Little workshop. And the timing was bad for X to get sick because our friend, Kat, from Cleveland was in town for a conference over the weekend. We still managed to have fun.

As for the Denise Little workshop, it was a great workshop and probably better than the last one. I wrote a two thousand word story on Saturday. I got to tinker with it and clear up some things and expand it. It turned into a two thousand word story which I've sent back to her. I haven't heard back yet if she'll buy it or reject it.

Many others at the workshop sold their stories right away and got the news during our last meeting on Sunday. This is a "sold" anthology, meaning it will be published. And DL has her three big names and the rest of the TOC might very well be all workshop participants. There were many great stories.

Denise Little is brilliant. She has an expansive memory and I don't think she's forgotten anything she's read. She's full of ideas. And she tells great, funny stories.

There's been no forward motion on the novel. This bothers me.
