Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?

So, I needed to drive up north anyhow for some job stuff, but now it seems I will also have my headshots done while I am there. The lady's work that is available online is AMAZING! She has even posted comments from people that have used her for photographing themselves and events. So cool. Mom thinks this is a good way to go too. Always heard I had nice eyes, never put a whole lot of belief in it, but, man, if they can make money - why not?

On the job front, got my resume and cover letter back with some additional comments from a judge friend of mine. He is pretty senior on the judicial totem pole, so his comments mean alot. Revised the doc based on the couple of comments and shot it back out. It hasn't been doing me wrong up to now, but I really wanted to develop it even further without losing the look of it. I am quite happy with the result. One place I externed with during my Master's program would like me to do more work for them. Thinking about it, but as much as I adore my supervisor, I don't think I could work for him day to day.

On the other front, Rob is still sick. Poor guy. What's worse is that it appears I am responsible for giving it to him. *sigh* I would never have done it intentionally. Regardless, we did get to spend some time together and eat some very yummy food - that's a good thing, isn't it???

Before I forget, Jen tell your Rob that I fixed the link to Donkey Kong for him... :)

Oh, and heard from Shane yesterday. Love the guy and, of course, we have all our friends in common, but it still seems premature. I need to find out where I am gonna be and what job I will be working before I decide to move back to SCV and have a room-mate. I think he is in the same position. He doesn't really want to commute to his job from there, but it would be against traffic for him and would help with expenses. So wish I knew Bar results and job results NOW so I could make decisions I want and need to make. Ugh.

Last night, I met up with Arabella. Haven't seen her since August. Incredible how quickly time passes. We went to Stinking Rose - one of my favorite restaurants! Enjoyed some chocolate martinis, sauteed garlic, and good conversation. It was nice to catch up in person, rather than on the phone. Her hair is SO long now! WOW! It looks great on her. I liked her short hair, but the long looks spectacular. She is also joining myself and others in the miracle called job-hunting. With much the same results. She is still waiting to hear from med schools. Talk about accumulating advanced degrees - JD, LLM, an MD/PhD? She and her mom are planning on moving to Vegas in a month. Yippee! I am not a huge Vegas fan, but I doooooo love my Laughlin (which isn't too far from Vegas). Funny thing - Arabella has a friend who is involved with a girl who is a drama-queen. He was talking about a trip to Vegas, but looks as though if they go together, she expects to marry him there. He tells Arabella all the time what his life plans are, and they do not seem to work with this girl in his life. Talk about making a mistake! Go to Vegas, but, man, leave the girl at home if she wants the walk down the aisle!

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin' down the bunny trail, hippity hoppity, Easter's on its way... - Sorry, slight diversion caused by the Toys R Us commercial on the tellie.

So, this weekend somehow developed itself overnight. Trip with parentals to Temecula for wine-tasting on Saturday and meeting up with Shane on Sunday. Saturday night I think Alicia and I are still going to try to get together. I suppose I can go to meet Shane from there. After all, he does live on my way home from Ali's.

Guess I should get off here and make the arrangements for heading up toward the Bay area. Looks like I am heading out tomorrow. Yeeee-haaaaa! If only everyone understood how much a) I love driving and b) I adore the central coast and bay areas. Jealous much?
