2004-04-08 10:29 AM Pet peeves Mood: Was annoyed, but have let it go Read/Post Comments (0) |
Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. :) Okay, I am going to begin with this - CELL PHONES ARE NOT FOR THE MOVIE THEATER! Imagine my shock and horror when Rob answered his cell phone during the movie last night. After much thought I realize - it's Rob; it was a Rob thing to do; Rob was bored; and, well, it's Rob. So, now I just giggle. Annoying? Yes. Would I be pissed if he was not with me? Most certainly. Note to self: next time, just take his cell phone away from him before the movie begins. There. Done. Dealt with. Oh, you wanted to know what we saw I suppose? We saw Passion of the Christ. No matter how many times I will see this movie in my life, I will cry. I tried not to. Rob doesn't know what to do when I cry. I think my eyes were closed for 1/3 of the movie. My stomach is not strong enough to deal with historical bloodshed etc. I don't watch anything to do with the Holocaust either. Certain things I cannot handle. I wrote a paper once on the Holocaust and how the claims tribunal should decide a certain case. The research made me want to cry. I cried more during that paper than anything else I have had to research or write. I don't know why I thought my sensitivites would take a backseat this time - they never do. I mean, seriously, I do not cry easily, but a freakin' Disney movie can set me off. Babe, yep cried. In fact there was always only one Disney that didn't make me cry; therefore, it became my favorite movie - Sleeping Beauty. Recently, another one popped up - Emperor's New Groove. Go figure. Well, moving on... Met mom for dinner at the Elephant Bar. Funny, I am meeting Shane there tonight. Seems a central place with good food to meet up in SCV. Used to go to BJ's, but prefer to avoid some deputies who frequent the joint. LOL. Shortly going to be on my way to meet Sidonna during her lunch hour at the DAs office (where I use to work with her). It will be nice to see her; I don't get to do it often enough. I am also friends with her son and haven't seen him in quite some time too. We have made it a point to get together before the end of the month. Sent out some birthday cards. Wish I could write on here what surprise I sent inside for the happy couple, but I am not sure whether this is read by them - don't want to ruin a perfectly good surprise! With Easter on its way and the family planning a get-together, I am having difficulty getting that Peter Cottontail song out of my head. The Toys R Us commercial is cute, but everytime I am near a clear head - yep, it comes back on. It is an endless vicious circle. Family beware! I may show up hummin' the darn tune. If you complain of emotional distress, I will kindly refer you to a tort attorney who will do nothing for you since there is no cause of action - despite what you want to believe. Gotta run.
