Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. :)

Oh yeah, last night was SO fun... Ended up in the Emergency Room. Parents drove in from Glendora. Three hours later, finally went home - 2am. Blech. Turns out I am allergic to the antibiotic my doc put me on. I have long known I am allergic to penicillin and tetanus, but had no idea I had a problem with Biaxin. Blood pressure skyrocketed, couldn't hear, face was beet red, headache, dizziness, and I had a difficult time remaining conscious. Totally freaked out. I was on the phone with Rob, took my meds like I was told to (even took it with food, even though I wasn't hungry), and in a matter of a few minutes I told Rob I had a headache. I figured since I have not eaten alot, let alone any starch or fruit (sugar), that my blood sugar was low. No problem. Ate fruit. Got worse. Called my doctor's answering service and got an immediate response (you know, Kaiser doctors would never do that) and was told to get a Benadryl injection. Usualy have them at home, but since I have not been reacting to stings and certain foods, I had none. I am a certifiable dumba**. Anyhow, I couldn't drive. Parentals were already on their way. All is well that ends well.

Once home, I finally got some sleep. Albeit, only three hours, but it is more than I have had in four days. The position I found that works is God awful uncomfortable, but it allows me to breathe. Imagine this: lie on your stomach, put a pillow under your chin, and look straight ahead. It is okay for small periods of time, but the neck hurts after awhile. Totally worth getting some sleep, however.

So, needless to say, I cancelled with Tomas. It is funny how Karma and Fate work. Even though it was only three hours, I felt better having slept a bit. Still feel like Death warmed over, but not as tired. LOL. Planned on staying in bed. That is, until I got a phonecall from Rob. He was leaving today for his parentals. No problem - 1:30 flight, and he was at LAX by noon. Then, United offered a free round trip ticket anywhere in the US (except Hawaii and Alaska) if the person would take a later flight. Rob was all over it. Understand, Rob does NOT handle boredom well. The next flight United wanted him on was to depart at 8:30pm. HAHAHAHAHAHA - Yeah, whatever - Rob in an airport for seven hours???? Not. So, since I live close to LAX, I got out of my pjs and picked him up. We went for some food at The Grove and then back to my place. Did nothing (really, nothing) except lie on the couch for two hours. :) Even that drained all the energy I had. Took him back to LAX for his flight. Fate and Karma? Well, I suppose they are trying to say something. I don't know yet if I am going to listen, but they definitely have my attention.

Well, without being able to take the antibiotics, I am planning on lying low tomorrow. I have an appointment to get back in to my doc so he can redetermine a new med for me. Hopefully I will not have any problems and I will feel better 24 hours later. At least I am not as clogged up in my sinuses as I have been. That might just be a side effect to not lying down; not sure. I am a bit timid about lying down again - it takes forever for the sinuses to clear back up after clogging up and I have a fear that I may stop breathing again, but not wake up in time to catch it. Probably silly; very scary. A person would think if you fall asleep and stop breathing through your nose, your mouth would instinctively open. True; it does. However, when I do that, I choke on phlegm that builds in the back of my throat when lying down. I am counting down to Tuesday - I hope it marks the end of my misery.

Side note: GO ANGELS! Rock on with your bad selves!! Woo-Hoo!!! I do not know how I am going to survive this baseball season. I think I will have to cancel my cable until after the Bar; there is NO WAY I will be able to study and concentrate on the Bar if there is an Angel's game on. Looks like I'll have my season tix back next season too! All..I...have...to...do...is...make...it...until...then... *drops to ground and prays to baseball gods for strength*

I am not cancelling my interviews this week - no matter what. Two to go (and one on the phone). I supopse I am not as stressed about the job factor as others since I still have to do the Bar thing over again in July (which entails another six-week prep course). *raises Nyquil bottle* Here's to feeling better!
