Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. :)

Who would think there could be anything better than making up and being able to spend an evening hanging out together? I sure didn't, but I was wrong. Sorry, Rob, but you have been a tad upstaged - my Titans not only made it to the College World Series, but they WON against the number one seated Longhorns in Game One!!! WOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO, TIIIII-TAAAAAANS!!! Lest some of you don't see the wonder in this, let me bring you up to date. When I was a junior at CSUF, we won the College World Series. Since then, the head coach, Augie Garrido, ended up over at Texas (yes, the same and only Longhorns in the CWS with us) and the assistant coach, George Horton, took over at Fullerton. Now, here we are, face to face in Omaha (of all places) playing our former coach who led us to our last CWS victory. CSUF has, in recent years, had amazing baseball players cycle through its ranks; a few times they have made it to the Championships to show their talent. But, folks, there is NOTHING like playing in (and winning) the College World Series!!! Nothing.

Yes, for those of you who followed the game or heard the highlights, it is true - neither team exhibited their best this evening. It's okay. The game had some excellent plays and moments. Tomorrow is the next game in the series - hopefully we will see a game like what we've been expecting; a true defense from the Longhorns and excellent batting from Fullerton; but, if nothing else, a true show of spectacular pitching we have come to know and love.

This is not to say that making up with Rob was anything less than wonderful. Not only did I finally get some sleep, but then I just got to hang out and relax with him watching Scary Movie 3 and Office Space. So nice to not have to go out and do anything to enjoy each other's company and have an excellent evening. Mmmmmm....and the yummy Berri's pizza. I cannot believe he had never it before, and really don't know if he enjoyed it as much as I did, but he definitely ate it.

Today, went to class (an hour late - after waking up without power...wtf?) for some good ol' fashion Con Law. Not too bad, at least it's a subject I enjoy. Came home and watched a bit of the CWS game before accidentally falling asleep - thank Heaven Rob called, waking me up, because I HAD to get some laundry done. After he called around 7 I got moving and finally got it all done around 9:30. One thing I loathe - that I don't have laundry machines IN my apartment (not even stackables). One thing I love about living where I do - so many laundry machines at my disposal - I did all six loads in just over two hours. Too cool.

Oh, before I forget, it isn't that the Angels games are not important enough to post about - I am working very hard to remain removed from the season this year (not going to games and not watching them on tv). The only reason I am posting so much about my Titans is because this (making it to the CWS) is unique. Trust me, if my Angels make it back in to the MLB World Series this season, you will hear ALL about it here. Next year, expect the frequent updates on my Men In Red; I WILL be back into the swing of it next season (and past this stupid Bar Exam).

Now, off to bed - still pretty wound up for some reason, so maybe some tv first. More writing assignments tomorrow. *sigh* I just keep reminding myself, "It's just temporary."

Skeez - how's the hangover??? LOL.
