Who needs the Bar Exam when there is surgery to be had...?

Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. :)

I still feel like someone punched me in the gut and knocked the wind out of me. Apparently, this is how it goes. Really, all I have to say is, "This sucks."

The ER doc has rescheduled my pre-op consultation for this Thursday. It seems as though the surgery is not going to wait until after the Bar. So much for the time and money I have invested in that tiny little quiz. *sigh* Oh yay, I get to do it all over again in February. Of course, next time I get to do it on top of working full time; won't that just make it SO much easier!?!

I find out the final decision on Thursday, but according to the ER doc, it doesn't look like it's going to end in my favor (no surgery at all). I am a bleeder, so any surgery is high risk; all I can hope is that I am a candidate for the outpatient surgery (three tiny incisions, and use of a scope) rather than the one where I have to be opened up. Either way, I am not looking forward to it. However, I am looking forward to not being in pain - it hurts when I take a deep breath, for cryin' out loud!!!

Other than that, not much going on. I can barely stay focused on anything, let alone drive anywhere, on the vicodin. Soooooo tired of daytime tv. Mom brought over one of those books on tape (David Baldacci's Split Second), so I am going to give that a go. Lord knows, I can't read myself (to the tune of the children's song, The Wheels on the Bus - "the words on the page go woosh woosh woosh..."); totally sucks a** since I love to read. Of course, if I could read and comprehend right now, I would be reading Corporations, Contracts, and Real Property...

As for the countdown, T minus 'forever and a day'...
