Yep, had the appointment with the surgeon today; it's official. There is no other way around this sh** that has been keeping me drugged and laid up like a snake during winter. I meet with the hematologist next week to make sure they have all the blood stuff taken care of. (For those of you who don't know, I am a bleeder so special things have to be done for me to have surgery.) My bro and aunt are the only two matches in my family for my blood-type and are donors for my blood supply - I refuse to accept non-familial blood. Anyhow, that should all get taken care of next week. Then, the following week I will actually have the surgery. This whole thing blows chunks!!! I have talked to a few people who have had the surgery and they told me they felt 200% better the NEXT DAY! WOWEE!!! I cannot imagine what it will feel like to not be groggy and fuzzy all the time again. Just the thought makes me want to orgasm, I swear.

Rob has been super wonderful through this entire torrid time. At least I won't be under the knife while he is in Utah - that would drive him bonkers, the worry-wart that he is. Besides, I want him to enjoy his, *ahem* *whispers very quickly as if to slip it by you* twenty-third birthday with his parents, on the boat, on the lake, hopefully in not too hot of weather... Man, am I jealous. *whines* I wanna gooooooooo...!!!

Heard from Al, he is back from Lithuania. Sounds amazing. I can't wait to see the pics... Ditto re: Scott; he is back from Georgia (yeah, not as far as Lithuania, but still...it isn't here). Want to see pictures from there too. Frankly, anything to keep my mind somewhere in the realm of reality and sanity - anywhere but remembering I am cramped up and stuck idle in this freakin' apartment.
