2005-01-10 5:47 PM hurts like a mo*fo* Mood: not a happy girl Read/Post Comments (0) |
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : ) Staples are out. Hurt like a moth** f***er!!! No lidocain; it inhibits clotting of the blood. Vicodin - oooooh, yeah - and ice. Unfortunately I had to go to a different location for the removal of the staples, but it got done. The bleeding was not as bad as anyone expected. Kudos and sincere thanks to all those docs out there who do research and come up with new medical technologies and breakthroughs!!! Now, I am home and on percoset. Yeee-haaaaw! It should stay kicked in for quite a sum of time. By then, I plan to be asleep and not notice that it wore off. I could not make it all the way home right after, so I went to Rob's work (very near the Kaiser location). I fell asleep there for about an hour or so which helped the vicodin wear off enough to make it through the ride home. Traffic was a nightmare because of all the rain and floods. Eh, could be worse, I could be in La Conchita (or a truly mobile home as it floats its way to Lord knows where.) I just had to deal with Adelphia again. *sigh* They suck, but they do try to compensate for their suckiness in monetary ways. I am good with that. I am getting a crapload of channels for next to nothing. Nice. While I was with Rob I ordered some Thai food. By the time it got there I was not hungry (I had just woken up) and I wanted to get home. I ate a bit of the coconut chicken soup, but none of the mint chicken. It is all sitting in the fridge. Still not hungry, but have to eat now that I have taken the pain meds or I will get sick from them. So, off I go. The boss did not sound to ecstatic that I had to deal with my head today, but I think he is glad to have the staples out. He has a very weak stomach for stuff like this. Oh well; I will be back in the office tomorrow and will be in on Friday to compensate for taking today away from the grind. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
