Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!? Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : ) My ad has been quite more productive than I imagined. I have had several people contact me for my mediation service. Also, I had a law firm contact me and ask whether I am interested in being a referral; to which I obviously said, "Yes." If the ad keeps going like this, I will make more than enough to only work for myself. YAY!!! I should have gone this route MUCH sooner. What the he** was I thinking? Working for someone else? *shaking lowered head* *sigh* Anyhooooo, I was not going to post this, but I figure it is high time I tell everyone what I did. I went back to my natural hair color. Yep. I am blond. Well, not really my natural color... It was just TOO da** blond for me. So, I had Martin put some red into it. It is quite lovely. I am so used to having dark hair (most recently it has been black) that I barely recognize myself in a mirror. The parentals could not be more happy - it has been, eee-gads, about nine years since I have had my own color. Let us do a brief recap of the colors I have been over the last nine years... dark red, dark chestnut, burgundy, purple, burgundy, bright bleach blond (VERY short moment in time), burgundy, and back to black. I never imagined my blond would become more blond over time. My brother, who had the most beautiful golden blond hair as a child has become darker over the years, so I figured I would too. Nope. Lighter. WAY lighter. I have almost no color to my hair outside of blond. Eck. I looked completely washed out without some color put back into it. It took Martin very little time to get out the black. However, it took a good sum of time to get the color we did want. Only a slight problem, but one which exists with my hair no matter what - the color does not want to stay. It takes so many trials, errors, experiments, and random calculations to find a way to get my hair to accept color. Always been that way - regardless of the color I am attempting to put in. It is not common - many people have provided input: from professional colorists, to the color manufacturer, to other stylists, to random people on the street - and drives Martin nuts. His patience and ability to find a way is what makes him my "hair god." Moving along.... Over the weekend, I made a visit to Temecula for some wine tasting at Ponte. While there, Martin was paid the highest compliment a hair stylist could be - one of the most "highest ups" for Vidal Sassoon complimented my precision hair cut and told me, "Do not let go of him; he knows what he is doing. You will not find stylists who can do that incredible of a precision cut nowadays." Wowzers!!! I cannot wait to tell Martin! He has got to feel amazing when I tell him. The wine was wonderful. Made the visit with the parentals after brief stops in SD at my sisters and at Pechanga for brunch. It was a nice day - I enjoy hanging with them. They are good people and good friends. Yesterday I worked with DRS - there may be a position coming... We will have to wait and see. Even if my own business does well, I would LOVE to work for DRS and do my business on the side. Today, well, not sure. I need to run miscellaneous errands. I may call Jen and see of she is up for a last minnute girly day. I need a pedicure like crazy - I have talons on my toes. It is a cheap form of entertainment. Besides, then we get to sit, catch up, and b/s with each other. I really have not been able to talk to her since before her cardi appointment. Well, I am off and running.... World, here I come!!! Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
