2005-03-01 7:50 AM F**k Nut US Supreme Court Mood: pissed beyond belief Read/Post Comments (1) |
Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!? Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : ) Take a life, give your own life. That is my belief. According to the split Court decision, 4 of the Supreme Court Justices agree with me, regardless of age. However, since 5 fu** nuts voted that a person who is a minor at the time of a First Degree Murder cannot receive the death penalty, my beliefs do not prevail. The boy who partook in the DC sniper killings, received a life sentence in that jurisdiction; he cannot receive the death penalty in any other jurisdiction, by law. That is total BULLSH**!!! The other jurisdictions have been waiting to prosecute him, with bated breath, based on this decision. Crock of sh**, this decision. Those of you who are *screaming* that a minor has not the ability to make the decisions which can impose the death penalty... I politely disagree. If a person has enough malice for a First Degree Murder conviction, that person had the state of mind to know the consequences and to know what s/he is doing. One life is not more valuable than another. Our courts are too lenient regarding juvenile offenders; always have been. Yes, there are those whose minds cannot grasp certain concepts - those are NOT the ones receiving the convictions for 1st Degree Murder, and thus are not eligible for the death penalty in the first place. I am utterly disgusted with the Court this morning. Pathetic and overly paternal. Decisions like this make me want to go back on the practice of law route - just to work my way up to the Supreme Court; to avoid bullsh** decisions like this. Argh!
