Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : )

Last night was pretty good, all in all. There are a few details I will post up in my private entry, but those who know me know why I keep some details of my Pepperdine encounters "in the dark."

Straus had a reception prior to dinner in the main bar for about an hour. Pretty cool. Hung out with some alumn that I really enjoyed knowing during my 'prison term' there. I saw Alex and Shimbani to name the most significant. I forgot there were actually a few staff members I did not enjoy the company of, so avoidance was commenced. As for the faculty, Lowry, Robinson, Sullivan, Greer, and McRory were all there. Ken Starr was there during the reception as well and was a wonderful conversationalist. I have a pic of the two of us from last night - I think I will put it together with one I have from DC of he and I...

After the reception, we were taken upstairs to a private, side dining room, so the entire group could talk and not bother other patrons. Dean Starr, of course, gave a short intro to everyone. I thought I had chosen filet, but it turns out I chose prime rib. So glad; it was delectable. It came with some fresh steamed (still crunchy - it was perfect) broccoli, carrots, and a potato. Their salads were very good - I wanted to ask what the dressing was, but I forgot. They also had these rolls which had a taste of cinammon to them - wow, I would have snuck some home if there had been any left at our table.

I was going to sit with Alex and Shimbani, but Prof. Robinson asked me to sit near him so he could catch up with me - I told you all he was *dying* to know the sordid details of my life... (see next entry)

After dinner, we hot the main theater for two performances - they were both very good. There were two acts of magic which Sarah and I both saw what we were not supposed to; we were sitting in the front row though. Do not sit in the fornt if you do not want to risk seeing the details which make the magic work. After those magicians, we went to one of the side theaters and saw another performance. He was okay. Eh,not bad, but not as good as the first two. Many of the group stayed (by this time it was about 10:00) for the final side theater performer, but I baled out.

Today I am meeting up with Candice for some sushi and talking. She has been the one helping me deal with the issues of my past with my ex. F***er that he was. I was hesitant to go with a person whom I am friends with and whom I work with, but since I trust her, it is successful. Trust is the hardest thing for me to give, but it is the most necessary ingredient when you need someone's help.
