2005-03-09 5:13 PM You are my sunshine, my only sunshine... Mood: well, at least it is not raining anymore Read/Post Comments (2) |
Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!? Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : ) I watched the weather on the news. I was told the fog would burn off sometime today. LIARS!!! I want some sunshine. I love rain, do not get me wrong, but I live in SoCal; I want the sun I have become accustomed to. *sigh* Today I busied myself with the condo. I planned to get more done than I did, but I was able to clear through all the stuff which accumulated on my desk, sort through some job stuff, make some appointments, and fix two doorknobs. I decided to push off balancing my checkbook until tomorrow; I would rather do it first thing in the am; math is not my strong suit, I need my brain as clear as possible. It seems I am good at "dislexia-ing" numbers. Argh! However, my mom taught me a cool trick - if the difference is divisible by nine, the numbers are merely transversed; if not, then an entry is either missing, completely wrong, or entered twice. I have not been unbalanced in over ten years because of that little bit of info. I was hoping to stay busier, but to no avail. I did spend quite a bit of time on the phone with Candice yesterday - we went for sushi, then, in lieu of payment, we got our toes done. Afterward we hung for a bit with some coffee, headed back to my place, and worked on an article she is writing. I spoke to Rob very briefly - he was maxed out on stress because of the LD exam today. It is one of the toughest they will have during the entire Academy. Later I talked to a friend for a good period of time. We caught up on some life stuff going on and, well, she, without knowing it, kept my mind off other things (see private entry.) She knows who she is - THANK YOU!!! Tomorrow, I am meeting with an attorney who is interested in getting out of litigation and into mediation. Based on her background, she is probably better suited in a field apart from my own, but I am willing to share whatever information she would like to know. She heard about me from a mutual acquaintance; networking is SO cool. = ) Going to pop some grubbage into the crockpot in a bit. I need to go chop the ingredients up so I will be ready when the time comes. Mmmmmm - carnitas... It is going to smell incredibly delicious in here in a matter of a few hours; looking forward to it.
